That is the scallops dish from Parallel 33. This place, and particularly this dish, is fan-fucking-tastic. Better meals are difficult to find. The whole concept of the place is that San Diego lies on the 33rd parallel, along with Morocco, Lebanon, India, China, Japan ... some other countries. So the head chef, who also did Cafe Japengo if you're familiar with SD cusine, mixes various spices and foods from those regions into dishes.
Reina and I have been frequenting the place for about a year or two now, having gone a number of times. For you meat eaters, I hear the flat-iron steak is pretty good, too. See, I'm full of recommendations about San Diego restaurants. Which brings me to another reason why I'm writing this.
Riverside restaurants are teh 5ux. Mario's Place, supposedly the best restaurant in Riverside, is highly overrated and extremely overpriced. You want to make money, you should open a half-way decent restaurant in Riverside, people will love you for it. It's depressing as hell. Just, you know, FYI.
Somebody get me a Casa De Bandini, or hell, even just a Pho Hoa Cali. Something! *grumble bitch moan*
People tend to blog about their cats a lot. So far in my blog, I know there are at least three cat-blogs. Why this is, I don't know. Sheena's blog is riddled with cat-blogs. If you do know why, fill me in. Either way, you've read enough about cats, so I'll keep this short.
Reina and I got a cat. From the humane society. Her name is Canada (I named her). Here's a picture.
... Ha! Man I crack myself up. Here's a better picture.
