Feeling Weird.

Hemingway once remarked that the end of anything is sad. I graduate in a few hours and by all accounts, this is supposed to be a happy, joyous occasion. But I got to tell you something about being "Done." Patrick said that he wished he had had a chance to feel "done" before his graduation (at Berkeley, graduations occur in the midst of finals). But it's not a good feeling, this feeling of finality. It's a wash of uncertainty. So you're done, what now.

But, just as is true in life, I've got things to do now.

Professor Shlomo Dubnov is the man.

Had a final today. Afterwards, the Professor took six of us to Round Table and, get this, bought us pizza and beer. Why, you ask? (Or maybe you don't, but if so, fuck you, the entire purpose of this website is to, some would say, answer the questions you have about me and my life) Because at the beginning of the quarter, this dude,
Joey Hammer asked if we could have a pizza party at the end of the year. And he agreed, and here it is, end of the quarter and no pizza, but he's a man of his word and made up for it by buying pizza for everyone who stayed the 4 hours of mostly shit final presentations through its entirety.

About a quarter of them were good, though. I especially enjoyed my buddy Josh's little Djembe hyper-instrument thing. I especially was irritated by this complete Goober who spent 20 minutes trying to set up his patch, discovering he couldn't get it work properly when it finally did get set-up, and then making up excuses about his other finals. Fuck him and his little dog.

However. That having been said, here's another toast to Joey for the Pizza Party idea, Shlomo for paying for it, and Alice for buying cookies to bowl us over while we waited for the pizza and beer. Three Cheers!

Last final.

It has been a long time since I've had any reason to stay up for four days with little to no sleep. I'm one of those "ah, fuck it." type of guys, for the most part. And I got to say, there's some sort of jellification of the mind that goes on there, a weird gut feeling somewhere between existence as a whole and not. WTF is that, man?
