This Post Was Supposed To Be About a Dog Dressed Like Uncle Sam

i thought about writing about something else, but i thought i'd be patriotic and blog about America.

*ahem* here goes.

I work an 8-hour shift today at the
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I take solace in the fact that my district manager has decided it would be a good idea to dress up as Mr. Ice Blended (a six foot tall oversized incarnation of a Vanilla Ice Blend in a plastic cup with whipped cream on top and sun glasses) at the annual Mira Mesa Fourth-of-July Bash. In honor of the many sacrifices our forefathers have made for this great country, I have paid my co-worker's three little siblings $5 to go to the block party and push her over.

note: the above hat is from Annie's Costumes which has a fine selection of American Themed costume pieces. I was searching for a photograph of a dog dressed as Uncle Sam, but came up empty handed. If you have a picture of a dog dressed like Uncle Sam, please let me know.

Look, Mom. I Cut My Hair! or Hey, I Hope That Guy's Okay...

Remember that 6 year-old kid with the scissors in his hand, grin on his face and patch in his hair?

That's me! I thought I'd save the $6 every couple months I spend on haircuts and just buy clippers for $8, and try cut my own hair. It looks kind of weird. The front looks okay (uh. sort of) but I think the back is messed up.
I'm not sure exactly, because I can't see it.

I took pictures after, so you can see it as soon as I find my CompactFlash Reader and upload the photos (which'll be Thursday or so)

Oh, on my way to Target to pick up the clippers I saw a car flip over. A little white one. Not sure exactly what happened, on the other side of the divider, a block down or so, I hear this loud crash and I see this car flipping over, and then wham hits the ground and as I pass it, it comes to a stop and all I can hear is its car alarm going off and people are already getting out of their cars to help the driver out. And I wonder if he's okay.
